Student Travel Awards

The IEEE STPEC 2025 Organizing Committee invites applications for the Student Travel Awards to support deserving student authors in attending the conference.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

• A valid Student ID card
• Letter of recommendation from the project supervisor/Head of the Department
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Cover Letter highlighting the need and motivation for the award

Important Notes

• Selected candidates must register and attend IEEE STPEC 2025 in person (Goa, India).
• A full-paper registration is mandatory for selected students to participate.

The IEEE STPEC 2025 Organizing Committee invites applications for the Special Travel Awards, exclusively for student authors registered at institutes/universities located in the North-East region of India.

Best Ph.D. Thesis Award

The IEEE STPEC 2025 Organizing Committee invites nominations for the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award, aimed at recognizing exceptional doctoral research contributions.

Eligibility

• The candidate must have completed a Ph.D. from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
• The dissertation/thesis must have been successfully defended during 2024 or 2025.
• The research area should be aligned with the conference theme/tracks.

Selection Criteria

• Applications will be evaluated based on the originality, significance, and impact of the research contributions.
• The quality of publications, patents, and other outcomes resulting from the Ph.D. work will also be considered.

Shortlisted candidates must register and attend IEEE STPEC 2025 in person (Goa, India).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their research work before an expert panel during the conference.

A full-paper registration is mandatory for shortlisted candidates to participate.

Best Master’s Thesis Award (M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. by Research)

The IEEE STPEC 2025 Organizing Committee invites nominations for the Best Master’s Thesis Award in recognition of outstanding research contributions at the Master’s level.

Eligibility

• The candidate must have completed M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. (by Research) from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
• The dissertation/thesis must have been successfully defended during the years 2024 or 2025.
• The research area should be aligned with the conference theme/tracks.

Selection Criteria

• The evaluation will be based on the originality and impact of the research contributions.
• Consideration will also be given to the quality of publications (conference/journal papers), patents, and other research outcomes derived from the thesis work.
