About the Conference

The International Conference on Magnetic Materials and Applications (ICMAGMA) is a prominent event organized by the Magnetics Society of India (MSI) in association with other academic and research institutions. This conference serves as a flagship platform for knowledge sharing and fostering innovation in the field of magnetism, magnetic materials and its applications. The objective of the conference is to provide an ideal platform for all those pursuing a career in magnetism, magnetic materials, and applications to come together, discuss, disseminate, and assess the recent developments in the area of magnetism.

The 9th edition of the International Conference on Magnetic Materials and Applications (ICMAGMA-2026) is jointly organized by the National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa) and the National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), in association with the Magnetics Society of India (MSI). The event will take place from June 3–5, 2026, at NIT Goa, Goa, India.

ICMAGMA-2026 will feature a broad spectrum of topics in magnetism, including plenary sessions, invited talks, oral presentations, and poster sessions. The conference is expected to attract over 500 delegates from India and abroad, providing an excellent platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in the field of magnetism, magnetic materials and applications.

Through this endeavour, the conference aims to disseminate awareness among young researchers, faculty, scientists, technologists and industrialists about the latest advancements in magnetism and related applications.

About MSI

The Magnetics Society of India (MSI) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting research, development, and applications in the field of magnetism and magnetic materials. MSI was established in November 1973 by the late Dr. R.V. Tamhankar, former Director of DMRL, and serves as a platform for scientists, engineers, academicians, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and collaborate on advancements in the entrusted areas of magnetism and magnetic materials. The society organizes national and international conferences to foster interaction between researchers and industries, encouraging innovation in areas such as magnetic storage, sensors, spintronics, and biomedical applications. With its network of experts from various institutions and industries, the society plays a vital role in guiding research directions and supporting young scientists by bringing them together.

About NIT Goa

The National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa) is a premier national-level technical institute in India established in 2010 by an act of parliament (NIT Act, 2007 and NIT (Amendment) Act, 2012). NIT Goa is an autonomous institute functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, and has been declared an “Institute of National Importance”. The Institute is dedicated to its academic excellence and aims to produce quality Engineers and Scientists. About NIT Warangal

National Institute of Technology Warangal, formerly known as Regional Engineering College was established in 1959. Over the years it has developed into a premier institute of higher learning and is ranked among the top technical education institutions in India. There are 14 departments offering 8 undergraduate and 35 post-graduate programs besides doctoral programs. About 6000 students across the country and about 500 international students stay in the campus. It is a fully residential campus sprawling over 250 acres with excellent infrastructure in the form of state-of-the-art library, seminar halls, guest houses and research laboratories. The Department of Physics of NIT-Waranagal has highly qualified, motivated and experienced faculty, who are involved in teaching UG & PG courses and guiding Ph.D Scholars in various topics of current technological interests.
