The Department is fully equipped with VLSI Lab with latest licensed tools.

I joined M.Tech in VLSI at NIT Goa in 2016 after quitting my job in an software MNC. It was difficult to adjust to academic life as I was working for 3+ years, but with the help of the experienced faculty I was able to catch-up. The faculty are Alumina of oldest IITs and well know Universities of India and abroad. They have good knowledge of the Industry trends and motivate us to think of projects that will solve real-life challenges. The course is well structured from basics to meet industrial requirements and will definitely help in interviews. The department also organizes GIAN courses from experienced Professors of foreign Universities on upcoming trends. The Department is fully equipped with VLSI Lab with latest licensed tools and with frequent training from various vendors like Cadence, Synopsis, Xilinx Mentor Graphics etc. Industrial visit to Fabrication facilities and visit by Industrial personals is organized for every batch of students. Internships in top VLSI companies will be offered during the course and placements are extremely good. I worked as an Intern Global Foundries in final year, which also helped me in M.Tech project and was able to author an IEEE paper published in IEEE Sensors 2018. I am thankful to the VLSI Department faculty and the NIT Goa Staff for providing me the best mentoring which helped me remould my career
